Which File Format to Use for Your Stamp (PNG, SVG, PDF)

After you design your stamp online, you’ll need to choose an export format. Here’s when to use each.

PNG — high-res with transparent background

Best for digital use: emails, websites, social media, or anywhere you need a clear image with no white box around the stamp. Use a high resolution (e.g. 3x) if you need to scale up.

SVG — perfect for engraving or resizing

Best for manufacturing and scaling: send to a stamp maker for physical rubber stamps or embossers. SVG is vector-based, so it stays sharp at any size. Ideal for laser engraving or professional production.

PDF — great for formal docs

Best for official documents and print: contracts, certificates, letterhead. Many print shops and offices prefer PDF. Export once and use everywhere you need a formal stamp image.

DOCX — ready for Word

Best when you want to drop the stamp into Word (or similar) without converting. Edit your document and place the stamp where you need it.
